Re: MAGSF... (there is ISGI stuff at the end of the message, so scroll down if you're not interested in MAGSF)
Dunno what I'm doing with it. If I were to sell at the final bid today (7 1/4), then I'd make almost 20% in one week after comissions. Of course, since I'm just a small-time investor, that 20% is only about $350, but still, it's better than I'm doing elsewhere.
It drifted down on very little volume after a run up Tuesday AM. Then yesterday it gapped down on the open but drifted up on light volume all day. Did the same thing today until it hit the 6 7/8 -> 7 1/2 range and then volume picked up again.
I read the Westergaard report before I bought any MAGSF, and I basically bought it because I saw the surge occurring on very high volume... strict momentum play. I then did some analysis & posted it to a MAGSF thread here on SI... only thing is that I started the thread in the $5 and under since it used to live between $2-5. Now it may be out of place (hopefully :-)...)
Back to ISGI - why did you think that the announcement would have more impact? Because it should directly increase revenues? I'm a bit confused on the "net branch" agreement part of the clause... how much cash to ISGI have to outlay to pick up the firm? I didn't see that in the release either... hard to evaluate things without the numbers. I also noticed that the press release mentioned TWT when it had nothing to do with the acquisition of the other company... wrong industry even. I thought ISGI was sending strong signals that they are basically a telecom company, and here they go buying someone else back in the mortgage business... if I'm an investor, I'm worried that the company doesn't have as sharp a focus as I'd like. I'd much rather see another telecomm deal closed... I invested in ISGI originally solely because of the TWT deal. I'm still thinking about getting back in, because I'm still expecting TWT to do well... but I'll pick my spots this time because my last purchases averaged out to over $1, meaning I sold at a loss at 7/8.
