How does one develop an opinion of "reality" without having considered the questions which are pertinent to such an opinion?

Who's interests the opinion might be or who benefits from it seems to be a secondary question, and one not worth putting much effort in to considering until you have settled (at least for yourself) the primary question.

Edit - Oh I see, my original answer was based on a misunderstanding of your question.

I answered - "If it does not depend on God, then whose interests would such an evaluation reflect?" as if you meant who would benefit by such an evaluation, but I think perhaps you mean who would preform such an evaluation. In a sense everyone would, or at least everyone who thinks there is such a thing as objective morality because they would have some opinion of it and would do their own evaluation. In another sense no one would because "objective morality" would be just that objective, not based on someone's evaluation.

Your question was based on the assertion that you made earlier in the post "Right and wrong are not objects; they are assessments, evaluations, or judgments." That statement is what I have been disagreeing with all along. I am talking about an actual objective morality not one that is based on assessments, evaluations, or judgements.

""Since I'm not infallible or omniscient my opinion might be wrong"

You are probably right about that.

I am almost certainly right that I may be wrong, as may you or anyone else.
