HUI Amex Gold Bugs (Weekly)

trendvue.com

i'm told there's a HUI triangle with resolution at 230. i laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed because that's just fricken insane <g>

Ya, the dreaded yellow metal might prove to be that funny indeed. ;-) (although I measure the move to be closer to 220 but what's a few points)

But one never knows. While that continuation pattern reminds me very much of similar internet stock patterns on the march up to the blow off, consolidation is by definition "indecision", and when the masses finally decide which way is up (or down) then what will happen will happen.

But, front row seats and all eyes forward, things are happening there now. I would not be surprised to see a poke up, and a drop back down, in concert with any retracement GC might make in the next day or so (if indeed any retracement happens). That would bring out HUI related sellers, figuring its "dead". Should such a thing happen it would be very useful to lurk above down bars with buy stop orders for a couple days, looking to bag a surprise move up, fueled by shorts such as that TheStreet.com columnist.

Now that *would* be funny.

if it happens, send him a link !
