You said Saddam was not that bad.

Unequivocally, Saddam treated the Kurds better than Turkey treated the Kurds. However, it is true that Saddam's reaction to challenges on his power were harsh and brutal. Of course, many of those brutalities occurred when we were strongly supporting him. That certainly pre-empts us from casting judgement on his regime.

There were many positive aspects of the Baath Party reign.
