<< 6 to 8 and not 12>> Simple reason - you can upgrade most 6" equipment to 8" for relatively little cost. But most of the equipment will have to be replaced with new to go to 12". At which point you are probably better off building a new fab. ...(Got any idea what happens when you upgrade a 6" difussion area to 12"? It's the proverbial 10 lbs of shit in a five lb bag - it just don't fit!)
