Ted, I will agree with you that academia can be arrogant and overdone but they are not lying in their course work as your posts suggest.

Who said they are lying? They honestly believe the crap they put forth, that political conservatives can be defined as a psychological condition.

Of course, human psychology has to do with which ideology we feel comfortable. Ideology isn't like pc chips....all logic and equations......it has a lot to do with human emotions. There is nothing surprising or threatening about that. Frankly, I don't know how you and your girl don't kill each other. I went out with a conservative for a few months and she drove me nuts. <g>

You seem unwilling to endorse or accept the human traits normally associated with conservatism.

Seeing their work only reaffirms my conservative beliefs and confirms my suspicions that these guys are out of touch with reality, or pursuing their own agendas.

They are completely in touch with their reality.......a theoretical reality.

It's not deceit, but more like inbred intellectualism. And it all stems from post-modernism (hence my earlier sarcastic comment, "There is no truth, except the truth that there is no truth.").

The way academia is predates post modernism.........your complaint is the same complaint voiced 300 years ago. I had an uncle who was a professor.......they're in a world of their own......and that world did not start with post modernism.
