David, Clinton WANTS Bush to be reelected.

I thought about that theory for a while, but then dismissed it as a little too nutty. Sure, Billary would prefer to see the Dems lose 2004 just so they have a better chance at 2008. But a clear case of political sabotage like this one would be way too obvious. They need to put up a real good fight in 2004, even if they can't win, or else 2008 is gone forever.

I like my theory better, that Clinton sees a political trap. The statements made by David Kay to Tom Brokaw support that theory.
