The major difference is obvious. The nation was in deep trouble when when Roosevelt began his administraion, and was much better off by either the last half of his first term or the end of his administraion, whatever you want to measure. The current administration began with prosperity and has spiraled day by day into further economic decline and insecurity. Roosevelt tried many things before a working formula for the time was implemented. Bush has only one idea - tax cut our way to prosperity and safety - and it isn't working.
