How about this, I coded PDP-11 assembly on a 16-user system with a whopping 32KB of RAM. When DEC came out with support for 64KB, it is like I died and went to heaven.

If we want better, tighter code, then we need to limit a programmer to a 486 computer running windows95 in 8 MB of RAM.

I bet if MSFT did that, then Office97 would be 10x faster, have all of the existing functionality, and fit on 2 floppies.
