Witness: to make a statement based on PERSONAL knowledge Right. Like when Juanita comes up to me with a bruise and a busted lip shortly after being raped, I [the witness] ask "What happened?" and she says, "I was raped. Can you believe it? The Attorney General of the State of Arkansas, Bill Clinton, raped me." I'm a witness. I can testify at trial as to what I saw (bruises and abbrasions) and what I was told ("She said, 'I was raped by ....'"). At the time the rape occurred, there was very little further proof that could be offered in a typical rape. Why are you defending this sleezeball. There is little doubt he did this, and you know it.
