Ok, let's run this out a bit. I am no expert either. Having said that, let's assume we captured them instead of killed them. What then? Here is my opinion.

You want to talk quagmire?

>If we flew them out of the country, NO Iraqis would believe that they are out of the picture, and would figure we cut a deal with them.

>If we tried to hold them IN country, we would be attacked form different camps...those loyal to Saddam...and those wishing to torture and kill the brothers.

>If we turned them over to the Iraqis, again, you have massive demonstrations and probably some more of our guys get killed...and then the brothers would have been tortured and killed with the approval of a tribunal anyway.

then half the Iraqis would STILL not believe they were dead.
