China wants place on supercomputer charts 10:31 Friday 25th July 2003 John Lui, CNet Asia China is developing the world's third most powerful supercomputer, which will use AMD's new Opteron processor China plans to create the world's third most powerful supercomputer, which will also be among the first such machines to use the Opteron processor from US chipmaker Advanced Micro Devices (AMD).
