Once you overturn 500 years of international custom to create something called "preemptive war", anything is possible and nothing needs to be justified, except by the "trust me" slogan of Bush Inc.

Legalistic arguments were carefully used in Nazi Germany.

Acceptance of "preemptive warfare" means greater trust of gov't information, which will only be accomplished through transparency and disclosure. That's the real reason for the "16 words" flap. Not everyone is fooled quite yet.

At least, not until there's massive terrorism and deep depression, then you'll hear people start talking about how much they love our loving gov't and officials, who protect them, give them jobs, and treat them like the serfs they've become. The plan is to get everyone to hide in their houses, do what they're told, and line up for work duty at slave wages.
