tejek,

re:Then you must have a link handy that shows those dual facilities still exist in Iraq.

If you have seed cultures stored away in vials (very easy) it is not hard at all to use any legitimate lab to create new chemical WMD. So any (well equipped) lab for making drugs is probably capable of producing chemical weapons.

re:Where are the 5%?

That's the question everyone including the UN wanted answered - why did they not answer the question?, they had months if not years.

re:That's not true......most of the world did not share that view. Most of the world did not know what the current status was.

Playing with semantics. If you don't know where something declared and unaccounted for has gone you must assume they still have it. The IRS does this all the time with my income.

re:It doesn't matter what existed ten years ago.....this is 2003. I want to know what exists now. Ten years ago, Russia had many more nukes than it does now. Times change, people change, countries change. There's value to keeping up with current events.

New age revisionism?

Russia has trouble accounting for lots of warheads, but don't you worry - that was ten years ago and the half life of uranium is less than a liberal memory.

re:Actually, they would dig it up at sunset.....refine some uranium during the nite and then rebury it in the AM.

See you haven't lost your sense of humor along with your common sense.

re:The sanctions worked in terms of restricting the development of Iraq's WMD......that's all that I was referring to or care about. The rest is superfluous to our exchange.

I would agree they worked while we had them in place, but at great cost to the average Iraqi - and sooner than later they would play that up in world opinion to their advantage and the inspections and sanctions would have ended and everyone would just race to the next big story. Leaving Saddam to chase his dreams.

re:Its the American way.......I hope you're not surprised.

Nope, reality is we need oil and peace in the middle east will help stabilize the region.
