That's the $64K question. I'm not sure what to do with it, and I suspect that even an aerodynamics expert would have a hard time quantifying it. There seem to be too many variables depending on the shape of the foam piece, air currents generated by the rest of the craft, where exactly it fell off the tank and whether it made any other contact with the craft, etc. What I do know is that the atmospheric pressure at that altitude is ~1/10th that at sea level, and therefore I expect a lot less acceleration ( in a "downward" direction) than at sea level.
