Son, I was a conservative long, long before this "neocon" label was invented. I'm not even sure what they're supposed to be. Doubt it? I worked in Barry Goldwater's Presidential campaign. LBJ said if people voted for Goldwater, they'd get a long, costly war in Vietnam. So the voted for LBJ and got a long, costly war in Vietnam. Was the gov't of Saudi involved in 911? I doubt it. I've seen no proof. Does it encourage Muslim extremism? Absolutely. The Europeans have more to worry about from the Saudi oil weapon than we do. Most of our oil comes from other sources. OTOH, the Europeans get upset every time it looks like we are going to upset the Arabs. Maybe you should direct your lecture to them.
