The U.S. military says three soldiers have been killed and four wounded in a grenade attack Saturday, outside a children's hospital northeast of Baghdad.

The soldiers from the 4th Infantry Division, have been evacuated to a U.S. medical facility. There were no other details of the attack immediately available.

Meanwhile, The Washington Post newspaper reports Saturday, that President Bush is considering adding prominent figures to Iraq's reconstruction team, including former Secretary of State James Baker. The paper says the White House is considering the additions as part of a stepped up effort to win international assistance in shouldering the $4 billion-a-month cost of reconstruction.

The paper says President Bush is considering asking James Baker, who was secretary of state under Mr. Bush's father. Mr. Baker has also played a large role in U.S. efforts to mediate the Western Sahara dispute. U.S. military officials also say they may be closing in on Iraq's ousted leader, Saddam Hussein.

Major General Ray Odierno says several men believed to be Saddam's bodyguards were picked up Friday after a tip led to a raid on a house south of Tikrit, Saddam's home town. General Odierno told reporters that U.S. troops "continue to tighten the noose" in their hunt for Saddam.
