Considering the US supplied Iraq with chemical weapons and THEN incited a revolt but didn't support it thus giving saddam a motive to USE the CWs while then agreeing to keep mention of said CW use out of UN filings on the matter...

and the folks in the administration NOW are the same folks that were responsible THEN...

It looks more like they set up a "field test" for CW use knowing saddam was just crazy enough to carry it out for them.

By providing the weapons, inciting Iraqis (notice...no "u" in there...that you can't even spell a 5 letter word right is an indication of your lack of mental acuity anyway) then standing back to watch, the US at the time is just as responsible for the death that followed as was saddam.

Then there's the US showing Kuwait how to slant drill into Iraq and inciting saddam to belligerence against Kuwait. When the US was approached by Iraq about the matter the response was a general, "we don't care about whatever squabble you may have...not interested".
So saddam attacks Kuwait...the story of babies tossed out of incubators is spread to gain popular support for the US to go in and kill MORE Iraqis.
Then the sanctions...leading to MORE dead Iraqis.
Then the shrubbie lie machine kicks in and we get gulf war II...killing MORE Iraqis.

The idiots in the White House now have killed more Iraqis than saddam.

But if you want to believe that the US has been nothing but lily-white and angelic in the arena of foreign relations go right ahead. Believing doesn't make it so.
