Good grief, I would never say to the Chinese, "ya, we hit you on purpose". Get a grip. If we did hit their embassy on purpose (and I know of no conclusive information one way or the other, although it was officially investigated), then it was most likely for the reasons I mentioned. And if that was the case, then neither the US nor China would want to make too much of it. China would not wan a lengthy discussion if they were in fact interfering, and we would not want a lengthy discussion if we responded with a "warning" attack. I will never know if it was intentional -- I only know what the Chinese thought at the time, and the rumblings from others in the aftermath.
