Apart from the 'sunni triangle', a relatively small area of Iraq where the savage baathists are still trying to preserve their artificial power, things are fairly calm, relaxed and the rebuilding is progressing steadily.

Yeah in less than four months, the Iraqis and the coalition should have had everything in pefect working order. What a sad joke.

Things were a mess in Iraq under saddam. Most areas of Iraq had electricity and clean water only some of the time. That was the norm. A lot of the mess we're dealing with now is leftover neglect from the Saddam years.
