I'm sorry to have confused you. Most people have no idea what fascism means, and when they see it, they look it up in the dictionary. The people who do use the word often do not mean far right- they merely mean something kind of close to the dictionary (or they mean their parents, or their teachers, or the police- or any authority figure that might be a stumbling block).

I totally agree clarity has great importance- that's why I often define terms via the dictionary. Most people don't define terms at all, ever. I know the historical significance of the term fascist, but almost no one uses it that way, because since most people do not really know what the word means, they also do not know where it comes from. You are simply too educated for your own good. :-)
