Exactly, Now apply that to NOVL

I hate to think Lemon's post is company policy. But what he is saying is that NOVL will support the execution of JAVA apps written on somebody else's platform. My point has always been that if NOVL can develop a JAVA platform based on an INTEL BOX that executes faster than the competition then it is back in the application business. It then needs to show its customers how to convert their 3.X apps to JAVA and then you got something to motivate you to upgrade along the NOVL vs MSFT path.

They don't get this. I think it is because they don't understand the entire development of the PC industry. The original PC was in every way inferior to the mini's and mainframes of the time. Yet it practically put them all out to pasture. If NOVL doesn't want to repeat the PC scenario, they will find other companies doing it. You don't get forever to take advantage of a golden opportunity.

Currently NOVL is into the glue theory. I think we have seen IBM's answer and next year we will see NT's answer.

The people making the decisions at NOVL better wake up!!!
