There is not much Bush or anyone can do against the
invisible hand of Adam Smith. If a job can be done elsewhere cheaper it should be done there. What is it
about free trade that you don't get. Everyone benefits
from this through lower cost of software, hardware etc.
Instead of whining about all these tech jobs which are going overseas (I don't see you complaining about all the manufacturing jobs that have been going overseas for the
last 20 years) its better to direct your energies to areas
of the economy that are positioned to grow as a result
of open global markets. Think how much Dell could benefit
if it was as succesful in the Indian or Chinese markets
as it was in the US markets or for that matter Amazon. If you were a Dell or Amazon shareholder this would be welcome
news.
