Hi Christine,
I think you were confusing two seperate things and combining them. I was working on freezing experiments while the others were working on Methionine and the antibiotic.
L-methionine is produced by living things, such as brocolli. DL-Methionine is produced synthetically, yet is the one that I prefer, because it is cheaper, and results in a higher level of Metionine in the blood. Both mirror image molecules work equally well as an anti-oxident, for example. Methionine is used by the immune system as a the raw material to manufacture it's own antibiotic. Eat lots of brocolli, cabbage, brussel sprouts, etc. to strengthen your immune system. If you start to take Methionine supplements, take Folic acid also. They work synergistically.
I got kicked off the library computer just as I was ready to respond to you yesterday. I have to go now to do lunch with my two sisters. The one from California is leaving tomorrow. She is the most hyper woman in the world. Yesterday she made homemade noodles, chicken soup, washed all of the drapes, washed all of the windows, went shopping four times (twice to return things that she bought impulsively the day before), and changed clothes at least four times. I can't remember the rest. I will finally be able to relax when she leaves tomorrow.
