Hi,
There's no "percentage" in grudges, besides a different and more interesting topic.
if countries want to be anti-US they should be able to be- they simply can't act on it, against us. While we can work to change their perception of us, for some Wahhabis that change is simply never going to happen- and if they don't come over to kill us, and just hate us from afar, then that is their prerogative. imo
Hmmm…” can't act on it”. Let’s examine that “act” a little more closely. A couple of cases that would be interesting (and I believe realistic) would be the following two. One, a country that hates us, but never does anything overtly against us. However, covertly, they provide sanctuary for organizations that do. Mind you, not the actual perpetrators of hostile acts, just the organizations that provide the necessary support for the hostile perpetrators. This leaves the US with the problem of first exhibiting the link between the individuals and the organization, and then proving the organization is located in the specific country. Two, a country that harbors no such organizations, but which to deflect the anger of it’s populace, encourages intense hatred of the US. Now say, the result of this approach has produced many individuals that, after leaving the country of their birth, have committed hostile acts against the US based on their hatred.
In neither case has (or will), the country provided US with a glaringly obvious reason to invade. Nor do I think we should. But I do think something more than trade is called for. That’s
