Sounds like you don't know how to quit while you're ahead. Just how lengthy was the letter and how much did you pay for it? Or is your lawyer a relative?

All kidding aside, I often have my attorney fire off a letter to my employer to help clear the air and keep everyone on their toes. People are less inclined to go to HR, even HR is reluctant to make a big deal, and they all sure do know me over there.

Don't forget to tell us the joke. We're almost all grownups, and as long as it's at someone else's expense no one needs to get offended.
