It was rather long article so I've been set aside for a few days (anything over a page is long for me -g-), but that was an interesting article.

At one time I also wondered how long this civilization would last, and came up with another 60 years for various reason.

Energy hog Americans need to reduce fuel consumption.
Can you imagine what if Chinese (1/4 of earth population?) starts to use energy as Amricans do? MK Hubbert will have to reevaluate the curve.

When I surveyed for oil substitution, 20 years ago, only real thing was nuclear energy...
Now perhaps we could add hydrogen.
