During July 17th-19th 2003, the TD-SCDMA mid-year progress seminar was held successfully by TD-SCDMA forum in Weihai, Shandong province
This seminar is an interactive conference attended by governmental senior officials, TD-SCDMA forum members and TD-SCDMA industry alliance members after the TD-SCDMA latest development progress seminar held by TD-SCDMA forum in January 2003.All the attendees listened the report on the latest R&D of TD-SCDMA from front line TD-SCDMA R&D vendors, communicated each other on the current 3G situation, 3G latest development and 3G future plan and discussed freely on the topics such as: how to promote the 3G industrialization, the market orientation of TD-SCDMA, IPR, 3G trial and live demo, etc.,
The attendees have made report during the seminar include: SIEMENS, CYIT, COMMIT, SUMSUNG, PANASONIC, XI¡¯AN HAITIAN, PHILIPS, T3G, DATANG. All the speechers made detailed presentations on the R&D and latest development on TD-SCDMA.
The seminar greatly enhanced the understanding among government, carriers and vendors and will provide the reference for Chinese government to make related decision. The seminar made the vendors understand the 3G policy of Chinese government and plan and idea of carriers, which can effectively direct and support the TD-SCDMA industry to develop rapidly and healthily .
