JF, and I was talking about supporting the "American Imperialist" slogan against the war. Yes, there are oil interests involved. No, I never truly believed Iraq represented a "dire" threat, just a threat. Yes, I wonder about the deficit and the cost of the war.

But let's face it: the world is better off without Saddam. Does America's unilateralism amount to imperialism? Is it better to have a regime in Iraq that supports rape, torture, mass murder, and terrorism than an America that actually flexes its muscle for good once in a while? Isn't it better to take care of the Iraq problem now before it becomes a North Korea problem?
