UnBelievable & John, But I think it is better to be disillusioned than to remain deluded. That is the reason for remaining ever diligent in our independent thinking, being vigilant to all considerations. The overwhelming lack of respect for life and the dignity of human beings makes me very sad. The deceit and greed is disgusting. For many of us who have either experienced, or investigated the lack of respect for life and the deceit and greed it is indeed disgusting. Sometimes it’s important to forgive but not forget. For me, as a young man, Viet Nam was my awakening to government deceit and lack of respect for life (including MY life). Since that time I have always viewed flag waving & patriotism as an alarm signal…beware, the government is wanting…wanting me to believe, wanting me to give, wanted me to fall in line with their thoughts. I do none of those without MY OWN investigation. I often think about the last words in the movie “Platoon”. “It is our duty to find goodness and meaning in this life”. And in my experience, that ain’t gonna happen listening to the government line, mainstream media, and Wall Street. Sorry for the rant.
