Hey RR. I bet your frequent flyer miles & honored guest
points are stacking up nicely! Good to see you're back home.

Found out about my back. I have a few narrowed disks that
must have been part of the problem with the spinal, etc.,
during the knee surgery.

Doc says that they don't seem to be a serious condition
(just slightly narrowed). He thinks that walking around
akwardly for 3+ years, lack of exercise & gaining weight
probably didn't help matters much. Now that I have knee &
back trouble together, he is sending me to a physiatrist to
oversee my rehab of both conditions.

His prognosis is fairly positive for my back. My orthopedic
surgeon said that with the extensive damage to the meniscus
& torn cartilage that I'll have to live with a certain
level of pain. He said the usual about a long rehab period,
sticking to an exercise program, losing weight, etc., is
going to result in a substantial improvement over the last
3 years, but not to expect a complete recovery.

It could be worse I guess, so I'm going to take it day by
day for now. BTW, I apprecaite your concern ;-)
