In my reply to Laura Bush I was merely presuming what you have posted here is the true reason. Personally, I think Pres. Bush gave the reason and its good enough for me. But, the bottom line is this: A President SHOULD do what is in the best interests of the country, not for popularity sake, not for vengence, not to appease any particular politician or the media. To me Bush is the Man, you are free to vote otherwise in 2004 if you dont agree with him. jdn
