Actually, every nation is subject to the vagaries of the global economy, including Israel. Israel bears little resemblance, IMO, to the socialistic (communal) state it originally was founded as. And it will continue to change, especially after any peace settlement potentialy removes the reason for paying so much attention to them..
It doesn't matter who you are, where you live, or what form of government you have.. In a global economy trying to attract global investment dollars, you play by THEIR rules, or you get left behind. And that applies to Israelis, Palestinians, Saudis, Koreans, Americans, Europeans.. etc.. Everyone..
