Interesting that PAM~was a somewaht obscure Darpa activity which was jumped on by two Democrats. My guess is someone wanted to kill the program, and breifed X number of Democrats and feed them sound bites. At least two took the bait. As for uses for something like this, if one of the questions had been "India explodes more nuclear devices" I would expect there would have been a sharp run prior to the explosions, which caught the US~ intel community by surprise. As for terrorist making bets, it's a bit like criminals going down to the police rifle range to practice...might get away with it, but not a brilliant idea...;-)
