Can you imagine the terrorist angst that will be coming from this administration, in the late summer-fall of 2004, if the election is close?

John, its already started. Have you listened to the releases re. planes this summer? They start off by saying that there's a real fear that al Qaeda is planning another hijacking this summer but conclude by saying that its not all that likely so we're not elevating the terrorist alerts. Huh?

Is is coincidence that this piece of ambiguous nonsense is issued as Bush is fending off all kinds of complaints about his administration? I don't think so.

And it also raises the issue that if al Qaeda can be considered capable of pulling off another hijacking, what is all this wanton PR that they put out claiming they've crippled al Qaeda badly? In May, al Qaeda bombed Ridayh and Casablanca within a two a week period; they've kept OBL safe in spite of a $30 million reward on his head; and now they are capable of hijacking another plane and crashing it into a building but we're to believe that the organization is on the ropes and ready to close its doors thanks to the Bush administration. Once again........I don't think so!
