Businessmen in Japan keen to invest in China

THE majority of Chinese businessmen in Japan would be willing to invest in China given its cheap labour and huge domestic market, according to Hyo Kaku, secretary general of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Japan.

He said the deflation in Japan had reached a point where the price of China-made garments could go as low as in China and there would still be hardly any buyers.

On the other hand, China's potential is enormous. Coming from a very low base – most households do not have a car, for example – China is very much a marketer's dream, said Hyo.
