Nortel Networks and Datang founded TD-SCDMA joint laboratory

On July 28th, Nortel Networks and Datang mobile announced in Beijing: They founded TD-SCDMA joint laboratory formally and reached the agreement. According to the agreement, they will integrate each advantages to implement the interconnection of TD-SCDMA system test, to prove the system function and to carry out market demo, then to finish the technology preparation of TD-SCDMA commercial test, promote the process of TD-SCDMA industrialization.
As we found out that, in the lab they founded, Nortel will provide core network equipment and Datang will provide wireless access network equipment . They will use each advanced technology equipment to test the function of TD-SCDMA system, the performance of the interconnection and the maturity degree of the TD-SCDMA product.
Mr. Huang Jigong, vice president of Nortel Networks (China) Limited, said: ¡®Nortel has been always on the top of the 3G research. We are very glad to found the joint lab with Datang. And we gathered our elites from marketing and researching department to the lab works.
