<The Mrs. is reaping what she sowed>
You got that right, Dealer! Like I've said before, she has endured a lot over the years putting up with me.
She sacrificed a lot while I was spending 13 yrs in college, most at night, while working those long hours climbing the corporate ladder. She would not go out and play when her friends would call and call, asking us to go to the lake for the weekend or go do this or that. Many times I just shook my head and said, "I just can't go. I've got work to do or studies to do." She never bitched one darn time. Not once. Eventually, the phone stopped ringing.
She spent a lot of lonely nights and weekends in her younger years when I was sitting there growling about all I had to do. I know that I was not the most pleasant person to be around at times. I know that she would liked to have gone and done things with others. Instead, she stayed by me. Supported me. She'd stay at home when I came dragging in at midnight, time after time, and there was always her smile greeting me with a hot meal. She's the one that would come get me at 3 a.m. after I feel asleep at the kitchen table with a yellow highlighter, papers, and book in hand, and get me to bed for a couple of hours sleep before starting it all over again.
I owe her a lot.
<>I enjoy reading about your surprises......>
Good memory, Dealer! I've had a few up my sleeve. She had some choice words, too. (g)
Thanks.
