Certainly I can, shudder, imagine MY being in that position.

I can't imagine being a spider in a sink, though. I can't imagine having eight legs and no hands, having no language, etc.

And do you really think that spiders think that they are doomed? Doesn't that imply a knowledge of life and death? Do you think spiders have that?

Your squirrel, now . . . squirrels are cute. As long as they stay outdoors where they belong!
