If you mean just fly in with guns ablazin' and missiles away, no I don't.
If you mean demonstrating to North Korea that America means business, yes I do.
Jeez, Ten, you can't have it both ways. I'm serious.
There was a time when folks thought that the US was a benevolent superpower. Bush War I, we were defending another country, a good cause. This pre-emptive stuff is not benevolent, it's the stuff that the villains of history have practiced. You look at Bush, he looks like one of the real bad guys of history, he really sounds like them.
America has a better foundation, a better tradition. Stupid quote: "absolute power corrupts absolutely". Most of the rest of the world has stopped investing a huge percent of their GDP in their military, the end of the cold war and all that. Things were looking pretty good. We've decide to go the other direction. And we are not being benevolent, we are being aggresive. This is not the America I grew up being very proud of.
Bush-Chaney-Rumsfeld, are these the guys we want setting the moral standard for American democracy? What does the American experiment really mean? Has it evolved into just another despot doing his will to the less powerful countries in the world? Or do we want to maintain a higher standard?
Is Korea next? What's up with this sh-t?
