Sector Underperformer Speculative Rating CIBC (Shaul Eyal) changed MRV's rating from Hold to Strong Sell on Friday, February 07, 2003. stockselector.com On that day MRV;s shares closed at $1.08. Six days later the share price hit a low point of $1.02. Since that time MRV's stock price has increased substantially: finance.yahoo.com As for being a "sector underperformer" here is how MRV stock price compares to the networking sector index. finance.yahoo.com In no way has MRV stock price been a sector underperformer? It's hard to conceive how Shaul could have been much more wrong. This guy has no credibility based on his previous performance. So maybe he is talking about the company fundamental performance and not its stock price as interpreted by the market. Is that what an investment analyst is supposed to do? Unbelievable! duff
