President Nixon did more for peace than any president I can recall by getting us out of the Viet Nam War that JFK started, detente with the USSR that ended the Cold War, and opening up China with his visits. I won't argue that. If he hadn't been such a paranoid mongoloid (He thought he would lose to McGovern and the Children's Crusade? How could that happen?), he would have been one of the greatest Presidents of the century. The once great Republican Party has been subverted by big money special interests I suppose you wish to claim the Dems haven't? Know anything about Clinton? Gray Davis? Reality? that bought the Schrubs their presidencies and perverse neo-conservative thinking. I was a conservative decades before the neos showed up, thank you.
