Well, we cannot know either for a certainty at this point. However, it remains moot. The problem is that, without WMDs, we lack a valid reason for the invasion, as set forth by Bush himself.
At some point, if WMDs are not found, we will be faced with an international backlash of credibility. Potentially, this will all be directed at the Bush administration, where it belongs. However, we may also damage the name of the United States of America for many years to come...
That is why the search is so vital. |
