I found it shameful to watch the sharade given that the outcome had been decided, and the eventual failure was no surprise.

What's your problem? If a president decides that a particular dictator must go, Congress gives him authority, and the people are supportive (which they have been and continue to be), I'm not sure what your beef is. There is no further explaining to do. Today, Americans overwhelmingly support the president's actions, EVEN THOUGH the liberals have been working overtime to assault him.

So what is your problem? Only the most extreme leftists are complaining. Do you REALLY think the country should be run to the satisfaction of the extreme left -- You, tejek, and John Fowler? Honestly, do you think that would be a good thing, to have our foreign policy reflective of YOUR thinking?

I respect the right of extreme Left to have its perspective, and to even have a positive influence at times. But I would no more listen to them on foreign policy than I would a class of sixth graders.
