Kevin, I'm an old conservative and I don't recognize this neo-conservatism. I think what I'm seeing is closer to fascism. I think the pendulum has swung far past conservatism and it won't even slow down at moderation when it reverses. I've been a student of the "madness of crowds" for years to aid in my understanding of the financial markets. The latest book I'm reading has some very interesting social observations, Socionomics by Robert Prechter. Many will find his market technical analysis too esoteric or perhaps even black magic but he makes some very astute social trend observations in all of his books. m-w.com
