>>However, the central thesis of your
argument, that perception of reality must be based on the truth, simply ignores a far
more fundametnal aspect (of life, not just the markets) that truth is simply sensory
perception.<<

sridhar, that wasn't my central thesis. humans make decisions off of our limited perceptions of truth. truth does, however, tend to influence our perceptions. have you ever ran into something that you didn't perceive, a table, a chair or whatever? your perception that it wasn't there didn't prevent reality from bruising you, did it?

prior to reality thumping you, though, you were as happy as can be and that table, chair or whatever didn't influence you one bit.

again, your perception didn't change reality. reality is reality. if you cross reality then you get bruised.

now, onto the stock market. there are often divergences between reality and perception. these divergences are almost always about the future truth - which, btw, nobody knows for sure ;-)

>>Your notion of the truth is different from my notion of the truth which is different
from that of Tom Kurlak<<

all of us have perceptions or opinions - which may or may not be the truth - and you never know ahead of time ;-) there is but one truth. my perception, your perception nor burlap's perception will change mu's truth. sure, burlap can influence people's opinions (which, in turn influence their action) but mu's business is seperate.

the truth may be that dram purchasers habits are guided by burlap's perception f the biz and so they order more thereby influencing the reality of mu's biz. perhaps not.

these are the kinds of things that we, as investors must find out.

over time, though, the markets get bruised by the truth and stock prices tend to more accurately reflect reality.

i believe the truth about mu's biz will bruise the bulls in september. perhaps it will be me that gets bruised - again. i have quite a collection from mu already ;-)

this is one heck of a bull market. awsome. will it last forever? sure seems like it (btw, my long positions are enjoying it :-)

good luck - our disagreement about "reality" may be based on definition only.
