Heinz has a way with words -- it's not just that they manipulate the stuff -- it's the measures are carp in the first place. GDP means nothing when the government stuff is in there and the measuring stick is no good to start -- some of the same problems that Mises mentioned about measuring a nation's wealth -- it's just not worth anything because it is isn't meaningful. Even back-to-back comparisons are worthless because they keep changing the methods for computing them ...
