CC,

I can relate to your example.

I have an extensive background in health insurance. I remember a guy on the old GW board that recommended some company, I forget the name, and it was selling around $14.

I knew the company and it wasn't paying claims on time, were in some sort of difficulty with Medicare and no salesman I knew would represent them. I made a strong case to everyone, at the time, to stay clear of the POS company.

The damn thing went straight up and was selling at $50 + the last time I looked.

I didn't know anything about TA at the time but, let me tell you ... I was humiliated.

It's through adversity that one builds character and becomes better for the experience.

It was another example confirming that I didn't know nothing about nothing. It was an important event in me trying to become a better investor.

When FA and TA don't match, go with the TA.
