They looked plenty ready to me, and to Iraq.

Decommisioning old ships is a smart move. Who needs battleships in today's world? Also, a lot of the excess capacity in the military was not needed after the fall of the Soviet Union.

You seem to forget that the military was also being downsized during Bush 41. Same with Air Force, Navy capacity that was not needed post Soviet Union.

So, you think we should increase the size of the military at this point?
