2) I think the UN is so flawed it is useless.

In Bosnia, Rwanda, and the Congo, UN "peace-keeping" forces showed their impotence. In fact, a couple of times they actually facilitated genocidal massacres. With Saddam's Iraq chairing the UN disarmament committee, Libya chairing the UN human rights commission - of which Cuba is a member, the UN is a mockery of what a responsible int't organization ought to be.
